History and Mission

NGO „Dom Wschodni – Domus Orientalis” was founded in Poland in 2012 by Fathers Przemyslaw Marek Szewczyk and Zygmunt Kwiatkowski. Main purpose of Association is to build a connection between Poland and Middle East, to stimulate good relations between people of different nationalities and religions by getting to know each other better and acting together. We are active in field of interfaith dialogue and integration of foreigners living in Poland.

We also organize visits of Christian leaders in Polish churches for prayer meetings, lectures on different aspects of Middle East history and culture, educational projects (we founded school „RHESIS” to teach Arabic, Latin and Greek) and cultural activities like song contests.

Due to our contacts with people in Middle East, particularly with oriental churches, we organize support for people in need mostly in Syria and Egypt.
