Summary of 3 months since the war escalated in Lebanon
In early March 2026, hostilities in Lebanon escalated. Our immediate assistance was directed primarily to those affected in Beirut and its suburbs (Dahieh) and southern Lebanon:
• food parcels, support for a field kitchen, the shipment of a truckload of vegetables to the south, and sweet parcels for over 400 children
• medicines, diapers, and infant formula
• mattresses, pillows, sheets, and blankets
• financial assistance
• initial renovations
All of this primarily reached Christian families – those who had been displaced or had taken in others, or whose living conditions had significantly deteriorated. However, we did not forget about others, including displaced Muslims – our assistance also reached the center established at the Capuchin school, where 1,000 people found shelter.
Another important aspect was the accompanying activities: family visits, telephone contact, and cultural and educational activities conducted by our brave YBTE volunteers.
We thank you and our partners from Caritas of the Archdiocese of Łódź and the Mandi Foundation for their material support. Please remember that we are still providing emergency aid, as the war has not ended. When peace finally returns, we will move on to the next, even more difficult phase – "Return Home." Therefore, we ask for further donations; we have a long road ahead of us!
