We are starting to restore the nursery in NDA Nabatiyeh School
Many people say that it is still too early to rebuild in the towns and villages of Southern Lebanon, due to the air raids and the tense situation that is leading to who knows where. Nevertheless, the Sisters of St. Anthony have reactivated their school, which currently has around 1,300 children, only 100 fewer than before the war. Unfortunately, the students are crammed into classrooms in one of the two school buildings, which suffered less damage. More about the destruction: "The Wounded School"
Currently, together with Caritas of the Archdiocese of Łódź, we are starting work to rebuild the nursery, and the funds were obtained directly from the Vatican, as a result of the March visit of Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś to Lebanon (more)
The school was founded over 70 years ago, at the joint request of the Christian and Muslim communities. At that time, the religious proportions in the school were divided in half. Now, they have been greatly shaken due to the migration of Christians. However, the school still provides education in the Christian spirit, is a bright spot on the map of building civic attitudes, coexistence and provides employment to people.
