At the 4th of August there will be two years since the tragic explosion in the Beirut port. From that moment on, Domus Orientalis, together with Caritas of the Archdiocese of Łódź, continued to provide help, adapting its activities to changing needs. At the beginning, we put windows and doors, now we equip the interiors of damaged houses, we create educational and cultural projects, such as "Wojtek Helps" or "First Step", we develop "Give a job".

We were one of the first to come to help - today we are one of the last to persist in the continuation of the Mission to fight for peace and a better tomorrow for our Lebanese Brothers and Sisters.

Each of our actions is guided by a motto:

• To provide them with shelter - we helped to renovate or furnish 102 apartments and 6 other facilities, such as schools
• To give them the tools to rebuild a dignified life - we helped in the reactivation or opening of 38 plants as part of the "Daj Pracę!" Project.
• To accompany them - we distributed 190 food packages, distributed clothes, stoves, milk for children, provided medical support, etc., we regularly visit families and those in need
• United in pain - we are running a project to support the families of 10 firefighters killed in the Beirut port
• Because there is hope in Youth - we have created the Young Team YBTE - our Pearl, which conducts numerous educational and cultural workshops, ecological and sports projects, supervises the "First Step" scholarship program, promotes Polish culture through the figure of Wojtek the bear

We spent a total of USD 111,008.54 (including construction team labor costs) and EUR 6,080 for the above activities. Additionally, we received a powdered milk donation with an estimated value of $ 10,000.

These numbers and projects reflect our dreams of a permanent presence in Lebanon. And we cannot do this without Wa! Please continue to support us and thank you for what we have done so far. We are the hands of your gift of the heart! Together we change the world!
